ATLANTIS has been in use by nexMatrix Telecom since 1981. In 1981 ATLANTIS was named Distribunet 2100 with net being the keyword back then. There wasn't much in networks back in the 1980s. In 1997 Distribunet 2100 was rewritten from it's CP/M and DOS days to PHP and SQL in 1996/97 and renamed ATLANTIS. ATLANTIS is an acronym for Automated Telemarketing Local Area Network Total Information Systems. Today it is undergoing a massive change in bringing it up to today's interface standards and the latest in SQL technology.
